An experienced solo acoustic cover artist, since 2019 Brass Monkey has also been releasing grunge inspired bluesy rock as well as dipping toes in other genres. He supported Ryan McCombs at Think Tank Newcastle & later headlined at Riverside Newcastle.
His debut single "Breadline" reached no 1 on the WKW CRAM Top 40. "Nowhere" later reached no 3 on both this & The KB Radio Canada Top 25 & no 11 on the Museboat Live Channel Top 25. "Miracle" reached no 1 on the Radio TFSC Top24. "Another Day" was 14th in the Museboat Musies Awards Song of the Year 2023. "Sandy" was no 1 on Valley FM 89.5 prior to its release on 2nd Feb 2024 then no 1 on Museboat Radio.
Brass Monkey has received highly positive reviews in several publications including NARC magazine and a 5 star commended entry in the UK Songwriting Contest.
