Mateus Veiga, known professionally as Matt V, is a Brazilian-born, London-raised singer, songwriter and performer whose sound blends influences from hip-hop, trap and pop.

Music has been a part of Matt’s life from an early age. Growing up in London, he spent his weekdays at school and his weekends studying music, initially developing his craft as a guitarist. With roots in rock, pop and indie, his musical journey eventually led him to discover his voice as a singer and develop into a versatile performer and songwriter.

At 19, Matt began pursuing music professionally after signing with his first manager. During this period, he wrote and released “Trippin’”, a track that gained recognition and was featured on Link Up TV, marking an important early milestone in his career.

Matt later went on to create his debut EP, “Blur,” released on 26 November 2021. The project was celebrated with an EP launch party at Bubba Oasis in Angel, London, introducing audiences to a broader side of his sound and artistry.

Currently focused on hip-hop, trap and pop, Matt V is an artist who refuses to be confined to one genre. Drawing from his background as both a musician and vocalist, he plans to continue experimenting with different sounds, blending genres and pushing his music in new directions.

For Matt V, this is only the beginning.
