My name’s Matthew Mcghie – I’m an Edinburgh-based acoustic singer-songwriter, blending folk, experimental, and rock influences. I can also play a range of cover songs from the 60s right through to the present day.
I’ve been gigging regularly across Scotland and England for 8+ years, with original music likened to Jake Bugg, Neil Young, and Noel Gallagher.

I’m currently booking live shows for 2025 and would love to bring a set to the filling station.

I come fully equipped with my own PA system and typically perform either:
• 2 x 1hr15 sets, or
• 3 x 45-minute sets.

My standard weekend rate is £300, but I’m happy to offer a reduced rate for weeknight bookings. I’m available every second weekend as well as most weeknights.
