SHOONYA is an Indie Bollywood band based in London, drawing from the diverse musical influences of its members. Their sound blends the richness of Bollywood classics with elements of Indian and Western classical music, blues, alternative rock, grunge, and heavy metal. Covering Bollywood hits from the ‘60s to modern day, SHOONYA brings a fresh, high-energy twist to each song, making it their own. Each member of the band is a master of their craft, and together, they deliver performances unmatched in quality, style, energy, and passion.
Formed in 2021, SHOONYA features Ravi Kumar and Sulagna Nandy on vocals, Rajesh Ranjan Singh and Glenn Fernandez on guitars, Callum Gardner on bass, and Kush Halai on drums, alongside Hanif Khan on tabla and Naresh on dholak. Their unique sound is driven by melodious vocals, soaring guitar leads, and dynamic jugalbandis between the instruments, making each performance a one-of-a-kind experience.
