With a unique style of performing a wide variety of traditional music, including shanties and contemporary maritime songs, with a lively, upbeat, foot-tapping twist, you are cordially invited to join the fun of a Swinging the Lead performance.

‘Swinging the Lead’ are a semi-professional Maritime Folk Music Group, based in Kent, UK and regularly perform at events and festivals in the UK and Europe.

We are a 'main stage' act and usually perform with full PA, although we sometimes perform acoustic events in smaller venues.

Since 2011, we have been the resident Sea Shanty Singers on the famous tea clipper, tall ship ‘Cutty Sark‘ at her dry berth in Greenwich, London.

Fully insured and If required we have our own 'high-end' digital PA equipment.
