Profile
With atmospheric synths, blissed-out vocals, and cinematic soundscapes, Vacant Shores are a British electronic trip-pop band based in Bristol, UK. Originally formed by programmer/producer Jon Elliott (Polestar, avOva, OOSR) and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist AJ ‘Sid’ Sidford (Lostmove), the duo released their debut EP Summer Ghost to critical acclaim.
After a long hiatus, the band reformed in 2024 with the addition of vocalist Suzy Alderton, bringing a fresh dynamic and haunting, multi-layered vocals to their sound. Their upcoming self-titled EP is set for release in late 2025 and features two standout tracks, Wasted Breath and 3 Fire Alarm, which is accompanied by a promo video directed by the acclaimed visual artist Tobias Stretch.
Vacant Shores have been gaining momentum locally and online, with growing support from live audiences, local radio, and social media. Their track Indigo was recently featured in the short film Finished Sympathy by award-winning writer/director Sheridan Seraphin. The band also recently performed on the prestigious Pilton Stage, part of the Glastonbury Festival artist development programme.
Currently gigging across Bristol and the South West, Vacant Shores are steadily building a name for themselves with their immersive sound and captivating live performances.
