Biography
Jack-Austin Despy, based in Billericay, Essex, is already being recognised as one of the UK’s brightest new blues talents. Jack began his musical journey at the tender age of six when he wanted to learn to play harp. At the age of thirteen he played guitar and sang at the Rory Gallagher Festival UK in Nantwich where he amazed the audience with his skills on stage. Despite his youth, he has appeared at major venues and festivals including the Ballyshannon Rhythm & Blues Festival, Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival in Ballyshannon, the iconic 100 Club in London and returning to the Rory Gallagher Festival UK.
He has been a UK Blues Federation finalist in two categories: Jules Fothergill Young Blues Artist of the Year and Emerging Act of the Year at the age of 16
